3. What is the difference between pressure washing and soft washing?

• Pressure washing uses high-pressure water to clean hard surfaces like patios, driveways and block paving. 

• Soft washing uses low-pressure nozzles with biodegradable chemicals to safely clean surfaces such as roof tiles, walls, or where moss/lichen/algae are present without damage. 

4. How long will the cleaning process take?

The time depends on the size and condition of the area, and the service type. After a free site survey and quote, we’ll provide an estimated start date and a timeframe so you know what to expect. 

5. Do you apply sealers after cleaning?

Yes. For paved surfaces (driveways, patios) which have been cleaned, we recommend applying at least two coats of protective sealer (either sprayed or roller applied) to waterproof the surface and help guard against future surface growth (moss, algae, weeds). 

6. Are you insured / professional?

Yes — with over 20 years of industry experience, we have the equipment, knowledge and professionalism to carry out projects to the highest standard. 

7. Do I need to prepare anything before you arrive?

We’ll advise during the quote stage, but generally it helps if access is clear (vehicles removed, outdoor furniture moved), and if you can inform neighbours if there’ll be any noise or access requirements.

8. What happens if it rains or weather is bad?

We’ll always monitor weather conditions. If the weather prevents safe or effective work (e.g., heavy rain/hazardous conditions), we’ll reschedule and keep you informed of the new date.

9. Will the cleaning damage my roof, patio or decking?

No — we use the correct methods for the surface: soft washing for more fragile surfaces (e.g., roof tiles), specialist equipment for decking, high-pressure for hard surfaces. The goal is to clean effectively without causing damage. 

10. How long will the results last?

This depends on the environment (shade, tree cover, proximity to the sea, weather), the surface material and maintenance. Applying a sealer after cleaning helps prolong the clean look and protects the surface. We also offer regular maintenance if required.
